ABOUT PROGRESSIVE TAEKWONDO Progressive Taekwondo was founded over thirty years ago in the Riverton,
Wyoming area. In
2001, Master Kale Watkins expanded Progressive Taekwondo to become the State of Wyoming's
first full time Internationally certified Martial Arts school. Progressive Taekwondo has become one of the
strongest martial arts programs in the state of Wyoming and is still growing. With
students ranging in ages from 6 to 60, our membership proves that students of all ages and
levels can join our program and successfully train at any time of the year. TAEKWONDO FOR KIDS Our Junior Taekwondo classes are 45-minute classes designed for ages 7 - 13, boys and girls, beginners through advanced. Each child will work on coordination, flexibility and stamina, while learning practical and appropriate self-defense skills. Taekwondo is a high energy sport, which emphasizes proper sport ethics and training In addition to the physical benefits your child will receive, we also promote academics and home life skills. Each child is required to turn in his or her report card to be reviewed by Master Watkins prior to belt promotion. Children in our Junior Taekwondo program will have a belt promotion exam once every 3-4 months. Parents love what this program does for their children. ADULT CLASSES Our adult Taekwondo classes are a terrific mix of adults looking for a great workout that will never bore them. Adults join and continue to train for many reasons: conditioning, weight loss, recreation, self-defense, sport and competition and the challenge of our belt system. At Progressive Taekwondo, we work in a very supportive team environment. Initially, many students think their ultimate goal is to work for and receive a Black Belt, but along the way they realize that this is an activity they can do all their lives. Students change their lives to meet the goals they have. The classes will inspire you to push yourself to a new physical and emotional level. What you learn in class is practical and applicable in everyday life. Who wouldn't benefit from being more coordinated, having a higher self-image and knowing that you have more skills to better take care of yourself and family?
